Kāpiti Goodies has a new look

Today, we’re proud to announce a new look for Kāpiti Goodies! We are excited to share our brand refresh with you, explain why we made the changes, and celebrate the amazing people who worked with us on this project.

Kāpiti Goodies launched just before Christmas last year to help build a local food and gifting eco-system that embraces the power of community to positively impact the Kāpiti Coast District. Since then, we sold more than 100 gift boxes both locally and New Zealand-wide, and the time has come for this little side project to become a real business with a professional look.

Meet the new logo

Our updated logo stands for a sophisticated and handcrafted brand. The black tag is a mark of quality and a seal of approval, with the heart symbol stylised in the form of a bow to sum up Kāpiti Goodies’ care and approach to customer experience. This heart ribbon symbol is easily recognisable at both small and large sizes to use online and when visiting local markets. The combination of a serif and san serif font adds quality, trust and modernity.

It was also important for the brand to align with our values:

  • quality
  • customer experience
  • artisan
  • social good
  • local

The new logo has now been rolled out on Facebook & Instagram, and we revealed our fresh look for the first time at the Kapiti Women’s Expo yesterday:

The new gift boxes

As you may know, our wooden boxes are made locally by The Shed Project – a community space providing opportunities for the differently-abled. We worked closely with The Shed Project on a new look for our gift box and they did an outstanding job as you can see:

Special thanks to The Shed Project for making our gift boxes.

Working with local experts

Sourcing as much as we can locally and supporting people in Kāpiti is at the heart of our company. We couldn’t have done it without the amazing work of these local businesses:

  • Delaney & CO. Public Relations – for helping with market segmentation, market research and a marketing strategy
  • Eden Design – for creating the visual brand and designing flyers, the box sleeve, gift cards, and more
  • Precise Print – for guiding us and doing an amazing job with printing all our marketing collateral

Thank you for working with us.

Of course, we also couldn’t do this without these great local artisan producers:

There is so much to love about Kāpiti, its people and its products. If you like what you’re seeing, we would appreciate it if you spread the word to your friends and family.

Kia ora tātou katoa!

Coffee and egg delivery now available

Kapiti Coffee and eggs by The Egg Shed

We’re starting the new year with the launch of two new products at Kāpiti Goodies! You can now buy coffee from Kāpiti Roasters and eggs from the Egg Shed in our online store. Both coffee and eggs are available as a one-time purchase or subscription on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis meaning you will never run out of these fresh everyday items.

Coffee from Kapiti Roasters

Kapiti Roasters is a boutique coffee company selling coffee at the Paraparaumu Beach market and to select local cafes. All coffee from Kapiti Roasters is roasted and hand-packed in Te Horo on our beautiful Kāpiti Coast.

We’re proud to be partnering with Kāpiti’s best coffee company and deliver their freshly roasted Colombian Single Origin and Espresso blend (available as whole beans or ground coffee) regionwide. As mentioned, you can buy coffee as a one-off purchase or repeat order, so you never run out of your morning coffee at home or the office.

Eggs by the Egg Shed

The Egg Shed is a local business supplying Kāpiti with 1st-grade free range and organic eggs. All eggs are sourced from a local farm and certified organic by Avivet. If you have been to Paraparaumu’s Marine Parade market, then you know how good these eggs are.

Eggs are available in different sizes in both free range and organic. Like our coffee subscription, you can choose between a one-time purchase or repeat delivery (because nothing is worse than not having eggs at home for breakfast).

Delivery available throughout Kāpiti

We will do our first delivery run on Wednesday, January 23rd. Both our coffee and egg subscription deliveries are available on the Kāpiti Coast which includes Paekakariki, Raumati, Paraparaumu, Waikanae, and Otaki. For more details, please see our delivery schedule.

A huge thanks to our first customers and launch partners

Time flies when you’re having fun. That’s how we would sum up the first two weeks of being in business at Kāpiti Goodies. We celebrated our first sales, met great people delivering our gift baskets, and most importantly helped other Kāpiti businesses sell their products.

Your support means a lot

We want to say thanks to the following Kāpiti businesses for supporting us. For a new company just starting up, it means a lot!

A special thanks also to  The Shed Project who helped us getting the wooden boxes made (and sometimes on short notice). We couldn’t have done it without you.

What’s next?

At Kāpiti Goodies, we are just at the beginning of our business journey and will continue making improvements to our website and adding new products in the new year. Our goal is to provide a painless online shopping experience for products made in Kāpiti, so there is still lots of work ahead for us. If you’re a business and have a product you would like to sell through our website, please get in touch.
